World Toilet Day event - advocacy kick-off

Accelerating Sanitation Towards 2030 is a World Toilet Day event to kick off UN-Water’s advocacy initiative that calls for increasingly rapid progress towards Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: sanitation and water for all by 2030.

The event on Friday 18 November, from 9:00-10:00 EST at UNICEF House, New York, and on livestream, will generate momentum towards sustained action around sanitation, with specific actions on securing pledges by the SDG mid-term review on developing national sanitation action plans.

The World Toilet Day event will be co-hosted by the Permanent Missions of Singapore, India, Nigeria, and the Netherlands with support of UNICEF and UN-Water.

Speakers from these entities will discuss key sanitation and water issues in light of the upcoming UN 2023 Water Conference in March next year.
